Hotel Creu de Tau Art&Spa - Mallorca (2023)

- well decorated hotel, very stylish and modern - very friendly staff, esp. the German guy at the front-desk- room is spacious with good design and well-equipped - very nice shower - decent breakfast - hotel’s restaurant is very delicious, a must-go place for dinner. We stayed 2 nights and went for dinner there on both evenings - super comfy bed, pillow, duvet- quiet location - the housekeeper did excellent job cleaning the room- Adults-Only hotel!

- wanted the king-sized bed but it was actually 2 single beds put together. So there was a gap in between - limited space in the wellness area but with only 27 rooms in total, it was understandable - limited parking space- rooms have no sound-proof. Since it’s an adults-only hotel, it was not too bad as no kids running around.But these are only very tiny issues we’ve had. Apart from those, we love the hotel and would definitely go back again!

The Creu de Tau Art & Spa Hotel, a former convent of Franciscan nuns, is spectacularly located at the feet of the impressive Castell de Capdepera. The spacious superior rooms including a wonderful terrace with stunning views have been renovated with great care, decorated in contemporary interior design combined with traditional elements like wooden beams, stone walls and floors. Behind the luxurious hotel there is a beautiful and peaceful garden and pool area. Breakfast and dinner are served on a huge terrace with splendid views. Apart from the elegant ambience inside and outside the hotel I must stress one fact: I have never experienced such a warm welcome. The staff's friendly and attentive care for their guests is outstanding. Staying at Creu de Tau is a highlight on the island of Mallorca.

If I may make one wish : more authentic Majorquin dishes on the menu would be appreciated.

This is a new hotel. We had a very comfortable large room with a large balcony with views of the surrounding countryside. The complicated lighting now in some new hotels generally actually worked here except as below. The air conditioning was very quiet and effective. Excellent breakfasts and mostly good dinners although cooking was not always consistent.

The car park was mostly adequate but did fill at weekends and the overflow car park had a steep gravel slope which I felt could be a problem with a large rear wheel drive car. Our room had a glass partition to the bathroom and, if used in the night, the lights come on automatically lighting the whole room.

Breakfast was good and all fresh. Very pleasant on the terrace or in main restaurant and serving up to 11.00 was a bonus.

Tea was served in a pot, as it should be. Why not then coffee likewise? Cups had to be ordered extra each time sometimes causing unnecessary delay when staff were busy.
